The Postgraduate Medical Institute (PGMI) of Baqai Medical University (BMU), Karachi has announced admissions for the 2026-27 session. Programmes are offered across five faculties: Basic Medical Sciences, Dentistry, Medicine, Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Health & Management Sciences. The university has also opened FCPS Part-II training slots in General Medicine, Pediatrics, General Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Operative Dentistry & Endodontics, and Prosthodontics.
Selection is through the university’s own admission (UAT) written test, scheduled for 28 November 2026. Admission is granted only on fulfilment of the prescribed eligibility criteria and subject to slot availability in the chosen programme.

- Check eligibilityConfirm you meet the prescribed eligibility criteria for your chosen programme before applying.
- Submit the online form and pay the feePay Rs. 5,000 at the BMU Admission Cell or by pay order, and submit your form by 3 November 2026 (or by 10 November with the late fee).
- Appear in the UAT written testThe admission test is on 28 November 2026.
- Admission is granted only on fulfilment of the eligibility criteria and procedure, and availability of a slot in the desired programme.
- All fees mentioned in the advertisement are non-refundable.
- Forms received after 10 November 2026 will not be accepted.

General Eligibility & Mandatory Checklist
CPSP / PMDC GuidelinesAll candidates applying for postgraduate medical residency, FCPS Part-II, MCPS, or house officer appointments under this notice must ensure their credentials comply with official institutional requirements:
Minimum Eligibility
- • Recognized MBBS / BDS qualification from PMDC-accredited institution
- • Valid PMDC / PMC permanent registration certificate
- • 1-year completed House Job certificate from recognized teaching hospital
- • Relevant CPSP Part-I passing letter / certificate (for FCPS / MCPS)
Required Documents
- • Attested copies of MBBS/BDS degree & detailed marks certificates
- • Valid CNIC / Smart Card copy
- • Domicile & PRC (Form D) certificate
- • 4 to 6 recent passport-sized photographs with blue background
