Programs Offered
NICH is inviting applications for training in the following specialized fields:
FCPS-II Residency Programs
- Postgraduate Residency Program for FCPS-II (Paediatric Medicine)
- Postgraduate Residency Program for FCPS-II (Paediatric Surgery)
MCPS Residency Program
- Postgraduate Residency Program for MCPS (Paediatric Medicine)
Second Fellowship Subspecialties
- Paediatric Intensive Care Unit
- Neonatology
- Paediatric Neurology
- Paediatric Nephrology
- Paediatric Endocrinology
- Paediatric Gastroenterology
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must review the specific prerequisites for their desired training program before applying.
FCPS-II Training in Paediatric Medicine
- Experience: A minimum of 03 months House Job in Paediatric Medicine from a PMDC-recognized institution, ORa minimum of 06 months experience as a Medical Officer in Paediatrics from a PMDC-recognized institution.
- Examination: Fresh candidates who have passed FCPS-I, or candidates who have passed FCPS-I within the last two (02) years, are eligible to apply.
- RTMC Status: Candidates already registered with RTMC must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their respective supervisors. Those with more than 06 months of training experience will not be allowed to appear in the entrance test.
FCPS-II Training in Paediatric Surgery
- Experience: Two (02) years of General Surgery training is required.
- Preference: Candidates who have successfully cleared the Intermediate Module (IMM) will be preferred.
MCPS Training in Paediatric Medicine
- Experience: A minimum of 03 months House Job in Paediatric Medicine from a PMC-recognized institution, OR a minimum of 06 months experience as a Medical Officer in Paediatrics from a PMC-recognized institution.
- RTMC Status: Candidates already registered with RTMC must submit an NOC from their respective supervisors. Those with more than 06 months of training experience are ineligible for the entrance test.
Second Fellowship
- Experience: Candidates must have passed FCPS in General Paediatrics. Two (02) years of post-FCPS experience will be highly preferred.
- Availability: Selection will be strictly subject to the availability of paid training slots.
General Instructions & Guidelines
- Government Employees: Candidates currently in Government service must secure and submit an NOC from their parent institution.
- Documentation: Applicants are required to submit attested photocopies of all relevant educational and professional documents.
- Undertaking: A duly signed undertaking/affidavit must accompany the application (drafts are available at the PGME Office).
- Selection Process: Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for the written test and interview phases.
- Original Documents: Original documents must be presented at the time of the interview.
- Accuracy of Information: Candidates must ensure all provided information is accurate. False or misleading information will result in immediate cancellation of candidature at any stage.
- Institutional Rights: The Institute reserves the right to increase, decrease, or completely cancel any training positions without assigning any reason.
- Expenses: No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing in the test or interview.

Applications must be compiled completely with all attested photocopies and the signed undertaking/affidavit. Incomplete applications or those received after the due date will not be entertained.
