Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for admission, applicants must meet the following mandatory requirements:
- Domicile: Only candidates holding a Sindh Domicile are eligible to apply.
- Basic Qualification: An MBBS degree from a university recognized by the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PM&DC).
- Experience: Completion of a one-year House Job in a recognized teaching institute (preferably 6 months in the relevant specialty).
- Registration: A valid registration certificate from the PM&DC.
- Program-Specific Requirements:
- PhD (Physiology): Requires a CGPA of >3.0 (further details available in the PhD Policy on the University website).
- FCPS-II (Paediatric Ophthalmology): Candidates must have already passed FCPS-II in Ophthalmology.

Application Procedure & General Instructions
- Form Download: Obtain the application form from the official SMBBMU website: www.smbbmu.edu.pk.
- Fee Payment: Pay the required fees via Bank Challan at Sindh Bank.
- Submission: Submit the receipt, the fully completed application form, and two sets of attested photocopies of all required documents (as per the checklist) to the Directorate of Postgraduate Studies, SMBBMU @ CMC Larkana.
- Government Employees: Candidates currently in Government/Semi-Government/Autonomous service must apply through the proper channel. Advance copies with relevant documents are accepted in the interim.
